About Me

"Choose a job that you love, and you will never have to

work a day in your life." -Confucius

Broadcasting is a true passion of mine. I strive to find the news and report it to the public. I am excited to be doing just that in Erie, Pennsylvania as a Multimedia Journalist for Erie News Now (NBC/CBS/CW). I have spent the past six months covering everything from breaking news: fires, fatal accidents, teacher strikes and school closings to local township, city and county meetings and special events.

As a MMJ, I come to work everyday with a few story ideas, shoot, edit and produce packages and vo/sots for the 10 and 11 newscast every evening. I utilize social media throughout my day and post my stories to the web and social media sites.

My skill of being a quick learner played to my advantage, as I was thrown into the field on- air on my second day and live in my second week. Within two months, I have proven myself as a fill-in anchor and have sat behind the desk a few times since. The skills I have gained through my past internships and university studies are what prepared me for this career.

Last summer, I was selected out of 150 applicants to be one of four interns at KDKA-TV. I spent my summer in the news department covering spot news assignments, writing for the newscast and web and produced a piece for Pittsburgh Today Live.  In summer 2014, I interned with wedding

photographer and videographer, Maryn Graves Productions, which not only enhanced my production skills but also increased my experience with marketing and public relations for a small business.

I am having a wonderful start to my career filled in Erie, but I am excited for the future to come. For more information please do not hesitate to ask.
